Mary José-Butler is an artist and neurodiverse writer. From a very young age, her mother inspired her to read, craft stories, and create art. Her studio is aptly named Fae Forest since she believes in fairies, chooses to see magic in the ordinary, and is convinced that glitter makes the world a better place.
Mary worked as an early childhood educator, a reading specialist, and an art teacher. Her hobbies include reading and designing themed tea parties. She is a member of the SCBWI and the 12 x 12 Challenge. She continues to hone her writing skills by taking classes, working with professional editors and meeting with her critique group. Mary lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two children, and a big dog who adores green beans.
